SlipAlert Results Graph and conversion
SlipAlert delivers an almost instant measure of the slip risk of your floors. The results provide a simple assessment of the level of risk (see graph):
low risk (green) - less than 1 in 1 million people will find the floor slippery
medium risk (amber) - a level of risk that can be managed
high risk (red) - most people will find the floor slippery and the risk of an accident is high
SlipAlert results can easily be converted into either PTV (Pendulum Test Values) or CoF (Coefficient of Friction) using the graph.
SlipAlert Correlation with PTV
Independent tests of SlipAlert on different floor surfaces show a very high correlation (r>0.95with PTV ). The graph below shows measures made in Australia, Europe and the UK on a variety of differnt floors. With high scores for repeatabilty and reproducibility, SlipAlert offers the quickest, easiest and most reliable way to measure PTV. By comparison, when the UKSRG tested 5 different Pendulum machines, they could only achieve +/- 5 points from 4 out of the 5 (the fifth set of results being discarded).
We are rapidly developing a range of training materials, printed guides, pdf guides, videos and face to face training materials to help you and your teams how to manage and reduce slip risks.

Three Layer Model and slip prevention
Like SlipAlert, the three layer model is designed to be simple but it is also a very effective tool for understanding and preventing slip accidents.
SlipAlert vs Pendulum
SlipAlert is about 100 times faster than the Pendulum. Try SlipAlert and see for yourself that each test can be made in seconds revealing the slip risk of your floors.
Most slips can be prevented. Keep your staff, customers and business safe. contact SlipAlert
